Although cyclists and pedelec riders were involved in significantly fewer accidents (from 706 to 611), it is regrettable that three cyclists were again killed on the roads in the district of Gütersloh in 2023.

The Gütersloh district police authority intends to continue its Radschlag campaign in 2024 to counteract the number of road accidents involving cyclists, some of whom suffer extremely serious injuries as a result.
