The outer carrying sleeves (ATH), as they are called in our technical jargon, were designed by clothing engineers from the State Office for Central Police Services in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The black protective vests have special compartments in which the equipment can be stowed. This significantly reduces the weight of the deployment belt.

In addition, the vests offer the option of significantly increasing the visibility of officers by means of yellow neon pads with the word "Police" on them.

The outer sleeves fully meet the high requirements of the various areas of work of the NRW police. Experts from the State Office for Central Police Services in NRW (LZPD NRW) have evaluated the results of a wear test in eight police authorities and initiated various changes to improve the functionality of the vest.
